If Only She Knew
I lay there for hours running my hands over her hips looking at the black widow holding tight to the butterfly, clinging to the most beautiful flower I’ve ever had the pleasure to see. I find myself unable to catch my breath, remembering how perfect it was and that it may never be again. Lying there for hours scared to go to sleep, for when my eyes open no longer would this be.
In my mind Luther’s “If only for one night” played over and over again but for me the song is a lie. The lyric should read “If only for one life” because I never want this night to end.
