A kind of love; It’s hard, it’s solid, it can come rough sometimes with jagged edges that can cut you if you’re not careful, but you can always smooth it out. It endures, strong, never ending; it withstands the test of time…in time. It comes deep, from the depths of your soul….the kind of love you’d live for….die for. The kind of love everybody needs to experience…just once.
I was listening to Angie Stone’s album Stone Love, and it got me thinking about what stone love means to me. So I started to describe it on paper and the above is what I came up with. I don’t know many people with that kind of love in their current relationships, but the few I do know hold a treasure that everybody wants, most people never get and some people envy.
In thinking back I don’t believe ANY of my past relationships were actually “Stone Love” Hail, if any of them were I’d still be in the relationship. It endures, remember?
Anyway forget about all that love stuff, sometimes it becomes depressing because I’m not getting any. But when I DO get it, I want a stone love.
